The rise of AI poses major challenges and opportunities for modern democracy, especially raising questions about how individuals will fulfill the basic duties of democratic citizenship. To better understand how to strengthen democracy in the AI-era, AIDC offers a citizen-centered perspective that centers AI’s impact on the everyday practices and experiences of democratic life. Toward this end, AIDC brings together scholars, practitioners, and students across the Capital area to ensure that the humanities guide the integration of AI into democratic politics.
